| Abstract | The principles of market economy can by illustrated by the idea of “invisible hand” and nonintervention. However in practice there are many regulatory mechanisms that support marker activities, particularly in logistics. The main issues of logistics infrastructure’s influence on the sustainable development in agriculture were highlighted in the article. Analysis and synthesis were used as scientific methods. During the analysis of agricultural infrastructure the main segments were identified: information, finance, law, state economic regulations and control, and commodities exchange. The access of agricultural producers to the domestic and international marketing segments is the significant factor of global competitiveness. The marketing information system can support supply chain management decisions in agriculture. There is a high level of volatility in the year-to-year production level. That could be indicator of underdeveloped infrastructure. In contrasts the EU stable production level has been supported by sophisticated infrastructure, regulatory mechanisms and logistics systems. The main success factors of Canadian supply chain management in agriculture were highlighted in the context of global competitiveness. The conclusions about the significant influence of logistic infrastructure on the social and economic performance in agriculture were formulated on the basis of the research results. | ||
